All students enrolled in an AP course(s) will be receiving invoices for AP exams beginning in January. The invoices will explain the format/instructions for payment.  For those wondering, here is the process for registering, paying for and taking AP exams:

Fall:  Register to take exams through College Board

**Winter:  Pay for exams through AP Test Services**

Spring:  Take the AP exams in May

Cost for each exam:  $105

Payment window:  January 17th--March 1st, 2023

CLASS OF 2025 FUNDRAISER

The Medfield Class of 2025 is selling dog leashes to support their class. All dog leashes cost $25. When the dog leashes come in (we anticipate they will be in by mid-January), they can be picked up outside Medfield High School and they can be paid for at that time. The $25 can be paid in cash (you are encouraged to pay the exact amount) or a check made out to the Town of Medfield. Place your order HERE.

VOLLEYBALL CLINIC

The 2023 MHS Volleyball season is just around the corner! Sign up for the Volleyball Winter Clinics for a great way to learn the fundamentals of the game, condition, run drills, and scrimmage. The clinic is run by the 2 varsity co-captains - Caleb Garverich & Matt Herbst - and will be held at the Kingsbury Club Sundays January 8 - February 26.  Please see the co-captains or email debragarverich@gmail.com for more details!

MHS WRITING CENTER UPDATE

Just before the December break, the Honors Writing Seminar (HWS) Peer Tutors worked during Flexes and after school with dozens of sophomores and juniors in the Writing Center on their A Doll's House and Catcher in the Rye essays.

Throughout Semester 1 HWS students have been training for Peer Tutoring and were happy to put into practice what they've learned! In addition to working in the Writing Center, the HWS Peer Tutors also help in classrooms during some periods.

So we can further support our students' writing, HWS student David Hom (MHS '23) created a Google form for students who came for this extra help, to gather additional feedback and help HWS tutors improve. A typical comment was "I worked on making my paragraphs more concise and easier to understand, correcting my citation, and adding on necessary extra analysis."

As a reminder, the Writing Center is available to all students for help on their academic and other writing during Flex periods. It's easy to sign up on the MHS My Flex Learning app. Any problems signing up, just reach out to:

Now is a great time to pre-order the 2023 yearbook! Please act fast to ensure you get a copy before the price goes up to $100 in the spring...if there are even any left at that point, as they sold out last year. Just click on this LINK.

Also, please review this DOC for answers to frequently asked questions, especially if you are a parent of a Senior wondering how and when to order a recognition ad (AKA baby ad). Jostens recently set that deadline as January 31...if you are interested, as it is a fun but optional tradition. Thanks!
