GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear students and families,
Did you know that April is Arab-American Heritage month? MHS students are organizing a fundraiser to benefit Lebanese children.
Lebanon has been failing economically and socially in the past few years, and the pandemic has worsened the crisis. Over 90% of the Lebanese currency has depreciated, leaving 78% of Lebanon’s population under the poverty line. This forced families to withdraw their children from school to afford their basic necessities.
To help Lebanese children get back to school, MHS students are fundraising with Lebanese NGOs Ajialouna and Saint Vincent de Paul for the SOS Education Project, which aims to provide money to families across Lebanon without discrimination to pay for tuition, books, and basic school supplies. Help us raise money for Lebanon’s children by donating to the SOS Project; any amount would be greatly appreciated. Donations are made through CAAP, an American NGO, under the Ajialouna Fund and are tax-deductible. Thank you for your generosity.
