MHS STUDENT COUNCIL UPDATE
Did you see THE VIDEO? Produced by StuCo and hosted by your favorite MHS Pep Rally announcers, a video that included many memorable images of the Class of 2020 was posted this past Friday on YouTube. Links were sent to seniors, their parents and other people in the Medfield community as well. The intent was for as many people to watch it at the same time to create a feeling of connectedness during this time of distancing! StuCo collected photos from many events that happened this year (pep rally, senior cruise, winter dance, etc.) and made a video set to music that brought it all back! If you missed it...no worries! SURPRISE...AND CONGRATULATIONS!
On Monday, May 11th, the members of the MHS Class of 2020 got quite the surprise. Forty-three Medfield Public Schools staff (including the superintendent, principal, administrative assistants, nurses, teachers, classroom aides, and more) drove to every senior’s house and delivered the traditional congratulatory lawn signs that StuCo sells each year. Senior families were emailed, so they knew what was happening...our soon-to-be graduates did not! As soon as the first senior got their sign, it was all over social media but it was still a very special salute that will not be forgotten by the students or their families!

Biology students in Dr. Reilly’s classes were asked to create a model of the digestive system (using household items) that had a moveable mouth part and potentially could demonstrate the movement of liquid down the esophagus - students submitted videos showing the movement of liquids/solids through their model. YEARBOOK UPDATE
Even though the school building is closed, the yearbook has been finished for weeks now and the Jostens printing plant in Tennessee is open and busy. Our copies should be ready for shipment in early June. We don't know what the distribution logistics will be just yet, but we are still accepting orders. Please don't miss out! While much of the yearbook was designed and sent to Jostens in batches at various points throughout the school year (before the school closure), there were a few pages left in March that squeezed in some COVID-19 coverage.
