2025 Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)

On Tuesday, February 11th, Medfield will be offering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). Students should report to guidance at 7:45AM on test day.  Students can register here:

ASVAB REGISTRATION

The test, optional and open to all CURRENT JUNIORS & SENIORS, is approximately 3 hours in length. Students are reminded that they are responsible to approach teachers in order to make up all missing assignments. Students will check-in to the MHS Guidance office the morning of the exam.

The ASVAB is an interest inventory that allows students to explore potential career options. The ASVAB is designed to help students learn more about themselves and the world of work, to identify and explore potentially satisfying occupations, and develop an effective strategy to realize potential career goals.

There is no fee to take the test.  If you have any questions about registration please contact the school counseling office.

FROM THE CLASS OF 2028

CAFE READ-A-LATTE

The MHS Library staff is excited to announce the details for Café Read-a-Latte 2025! This year the dates will run March 3, 2025- March 7, 2025. Café Read-a-Latte is a time for students to visit the LMC and get some relaxing down time by visiting different stations with book/ reading themes. This year every student at MHS will get to visit our celebration of books and reading during their English class – and possibly Flex.

In order to make this year successful, we are looking for your help! There are two ways to help if you are interested:

1) We are looking for a few volunteers at the following time slots to help us oversee the stations in the Library. IF you are interested in this, you must have a CORI on file with the Medfield Public Schools (within the last year). It only takes a few minutes if you stop by the front office at MHS or Central Office with your driver's license.

2) Every student will get a free beverage and snack during their visit, so we are looking for the following snack and beverage donations. These can be dropped off any time before the March 4th kick off. You can leave them on a labeled table by the front office at MHS– or have your student deliver directly to the LMC.

Thank you so much for helping us make this a special experience for every student at MHS!

The All Night Grad’s biggest fundraiser is the Senior Fashion Show on March 22nd. This event is so much fun for all. It celebrates the Seniors in a fun, relaxed show where anything goes!

We are in need of volunteers to help backstage, front of house and lug stuff from A to B!

The Senior parents should sit and enjoy the event, so we rely on the help of parents/guardians of 9th, 10th and 11th Graders. Please pay it forward and support the fun.

FROM THE MCPE

MCPE Grant in Action

In the first grant cycle of ‘24-25, MCPE funded a grant to assist Medfield High School in securing a therapy dog. Recently, staff from MHS visited puppies at GoFi (Golden Opportunities for Independence), the organization who will be providing hands-on training and support for this program, as part of the process of selection. This therapy dog will establish emotional and mental health support for students.

There are so many great ways to support MCPE and raise money for Medfield Schools like this grant!  Stay tuned for our spring line-up of fun and meaningful events.

Volunteer with MCPE and make a difference for our kids and schools!

Are you looking for a way to give back to Medfield Public Schools?
Join the Medfield Coalition for Public Education!

MCPE is an independent, non-profit organization founded to provide system-wide support for the Medfield Public Schools through grants for the development of innovative programs, curriculum, and enrichment. MCPE is led by a volunteer board that works throughout the school year to organize community-wide fundraising events, like our Fall Ball and upcoming Trivia Night. The funds raised from these events allow us to award a variety of grants to teachers and staff at all five Medfield Public Schools.

We’re now recruiting new board members to start in the 2025-26 school year! If you are interested in becoming an MCPE board member, we would love to hear from you. We're looking for candidates who can commit to a 3-year term, attend board meetings once a month (Sept-June), and have an active interest in enriching kids' education in Medfield schools. All skill sets are welcome, and we strive to have a board with diverse backgrounds.

FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT

Congratulations MHS Soundwaves!!  They performed at the NE Voices on Friday night, an audition-based competition that takes only 8 groups out of approximately 20-25 that enter.  They placed in the TOP 3 and performed again on Saturday to close out the festival. We are so proud to see them shine on stage and of their hard work!

Congratulations to Amelia DeHoff (grade 12, Clarinet, Concert Band), Abby Cartisser (grade 11, Alto Saxophone, Concert Band), and Ava Morrison (grade 11, Chorus) who auditioned this past Saturday and were selected to perform in the All-State Festival, which will be held on March 28th and 29th in Worcester at Symphony Hall in Boston.
