FROM THE THEATRE SOCIETY

MHS Theatre Society Fall Musical: Little Shop of Horrors
November 22-24

What would you do if a plant offered you fame and fortune in exchange for human blood? For Seymour Krelbourn, the answer is simple. Give the plant what it wants.

Little Shop of Horrors is a dark comedy that follows Seymour, a love sick florist, who pines over his co-worker, Audrey. During a total eclipse of the sun, a strange plant appears and offers him everything he ever wanted, but at a very steep price. Seymour keeps and names this mysterious plant Audrey II after the girl that he loves, and starts down an exciting and dangerous path.

Overtime, Audrey II begins to attract customers who are intrigued by its growing size. Yet, as the shop grows in popularity, so does the impending sense of doom filling the air. And, when people start going missing, this feeling is only heightened.

Little did Seymour know that as Audrey II got more and more blood, it would also become more and more greedy. Ultimately, Seymour’s fate shows that there is a price to pay for exchanging your morals for profit. Especially when those profit margins slowly become smaller.  LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (BROADWAY VERSION) is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com Licensed by MTI.
