FROM THE LMC...

MHS LATIN DAY MMXIX

On Tuesday, November 19th, the Latin III-IV classes hosted Latin Day in the MHS library.  Their goal was to present an historical reenactment about daily life in Pompeii to visitors from Blake Middle School. Groups of students then chose one aspect of Pompeian life to research and present.  After making their own props and costumes, the students transformed the library into the ancient city of Pompeii. The Latin students created characters for themselves and shared their stories in a historical reenactment to 7th grade students.

The day after Latin Day, the very busy LMC was set up for the Thanksgiving Book Feast. All English teachers were invited to bring classes to the library to relax, check out a book before the break, and have a snack. The books were displayed by genre using a Thanksgiving menu. There were tables of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The Thanksgiving Book Feast continues until November 26th.

Check out the library webpage and librarian's blog for for more photos http://medfieldhslmc.weebly.com...
