MHS Concert Band Performs at Gold Medal Showcase
On Sunday, April 14, 2024 the MHS Concert Band performed at the beautiful Groton Hill Music Center in Groton, MA. This memorable experience was a complete honor for both the students and Director, Mr. Jason Bielik. There is truly no other concert venue in the world like Groton Hill. The students earned this exciting opportunity after receiving a Gold Medal for their performance at the MICAA Festival on April 5, 2024. Congratulations to the Medfield Music Program and this extremely talented group of musicians!

Extracurricular Activity Participation (Athletics/Music/Drama/Prom)
Students may not participate in extracurricular activities if any of the following apply:
The student is absent (not excused) on the day of the activity.
The student missed more than two class periods if the class absence is not excused. Flex period is considered a class period.
The student was dismissed from school without parent/guardian verification prior to leaving the building.
The student was dismissed by the nurse (ineligible for the day of dismissal, and subsequent days prior to returning to school).
The student self-dismissed without prior approval from administration.

ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS
PTOM TICKET SALES CLOSE WEDNESDAY!
The event will be held on Friday, May 3 from 7:00-10:30 at Gillette Stadium. Juniors and Seniors may purchase up to two tickets per person.
A ticket for the Prom bus is included in the price of the Prom ticket. Medfield Outreach and the Medfield Cares About Prevention (MCAP) Coalition have covered the entire cost of prom bus transportation for all students attending the prom this year.
Students will be expected to take the bus. Parents/guardians should reach out to Mrs. Hagan if students need to opt-out of the bus.

ATTENTION GRADE 9/10 FAMILIES
The Junior / Senior prom is Friday, May 3rd. We are seeking Freshman/Sophomore parents to help chaperone the buses. It’s an evening commitment that involves greeting the students at the high school, riding the bus to Gillette Stadium, having dinner at Patriot Place while the students are at prom and then taking the bus home. MFi Youth Leadership Program is awarding a grant of up to $1,000 to a nonprofit or other organization (including school clubs) with a portion of the money made from the Angel Run to help grow and improve our Medfield community. To be eligible to receive a portion of the grant, the organization must serve the citizens of Medfield in some way, and there must be a compelling need for the grant or it must be used for a particular project. If you are interested in applying, go to Medfield Foundation Youth Leadership or the Grant Application Form. All applications for the grant must be submitted by April 30th. Please join us - Medfield Outreach/MCAP is co-hosting a parent event with SUP Medway on April 25th, and the guest of honor is Dr. Crystal Collier. Dr. Collier is giving a talk titled "How to Use Brain Science for Parenting Modern Teens and Tweens" and will discuss brain development, reducing risky behavior, developing deeper connections, and more!

Join us for one more Trivia Night on Wednesday, May 1!!
Trivia Night was so much fun back in February we’ve decided to do it twice this year! Gather your friends for an unforgettable evening of brain-teasing fun at the American Legion in Dover. Teams of 4-6 adults will compete in a whirlwind of fast-paced, humor-filled questions that will put your knowledge of geography, sports, history, and more to the test. Proceeds go towards MCPE grants supporting Medfield Public Schools.
Date: Wednesday, May 1st
Location: American Legion - 32 Dedham Street, Dover
Time: Doors open at 7:00pm, game starts at 7:30pm
Cost: $50 per person
Light snacks are included in the cost of each ticket. Cash-only bar!
How to register: Form a team of 4-6 adults, nominate a team captain, pick a fun team name, and have your captain register the team together. Mulligans, a free pass in the event your team is stumped on a question, are available for purchase during the registration process ($10 each or 3 for $20).

SEPAC Upcoming Events: Sometimes, there's a perception that a child's disability/diagnosis needs to present in a certain way or severity to join SEPAC, but SEPAC is for EVERYONE. You do not need a child on an IEP or 504 to attend. Our workshops and board meetings offer childcare, and a remote link can be made available if you'd like. Our parent connection groups meet in person and are limited to parents and caregivers of children with the corresponding diagnosis. So please mark your calendars for our spring Workshops & Parent Connection Groups:
