HANDBOOK HIGHLIGHT #13
SCHOOL DANCES
Dances are held throughout the year and are sponsored by various classes, clubs, and organizations with the approval of the administration. School dances are in fact a school function- all school rules apply, including those pertaining to substance abuse. Any student found to be in possession of, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs will have parents/guardians contacted for immediate removal and will be considered for suspension and notification of the police.
Students must arrive within one hour of the announced start of the dance unless prior arrangements have been made with the Assistant Principal. Once a student leaves the dance, he/she will not be permitted to return.
Middle school students are not permitted at high school dances.
Students who wish to bring a guest (non-Medfield High School student) to a dance may do so by obtaining written permission from the Assistant Principal prior to the function. Guest approval is not guaranteed and may depend on the nature/intended audience of the dance. MHS students are responsible for the actions of their guests.
Dance attire should be in accordance with the school dress code. At the discretion of the administration, students with inappropriate clothing will be asked to change or leave the event. Appropriate dance is also expected.
For more information, please visit the MHS Student Handbook.

FROM MEDFIELD OUTREACH
FROM SEPAC
Medfield SEPAC is offering Parent Connection Groups this year in response to feedback in meetings and after-meeting surveys. A SEPAC parent volunteer will coordinate each, focusing on a different diagnosis. These informal groups will connect parents and caregivers of children of all ages with the specific diagnosis to share experiences and resources.
Our Parent Connection Group, focusing on Down Syndrome, is holding its second meeting on December 21st from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at the Medfield Public Library. If you want to join this group, please get in touch with Michelle, this group's parent volunteer, at mebrien@gmail.com.
We are looking to form groups for the following diagnoses: ADHD, Dyslexia + Language-based Learning Disabilities, and Autism Spectrum. If you want to join one of these groups, please email sepac@email.medfield.net to connect with our parent volunteers for more information.
If you haven't taken our website survey yet, there is no time like the present. Access the survey directly HERE.
Check out our website, Facebook, and Instagram social media pages. We share area events and more!
The fall season is in full swing! If you haven't taken a second yet to pre-order a yearbook copy now while supplies last, please do so ASAP. Luckily, the price has been frozen at $95 for the rest of this school year, which is a good deal since the final price has long been $100. Here is the ordering link. If you have any questions, please read through this FAQs doc for more information. Thanks!
FROM THE ALL NIGHT GRAD PARTY
Please PAY IT FORWARD
Every year the graduating class experiences the party of all parties in a very SAFE environment. The only way the kids (who do say it’s one of the most memorable ’school’ events they have ever experienced) can enjoy this is from the amazing generous time from volunteers pulling it all together. Many hands make light work - and fun ‘work’ too!!
Join our committee with friends or even to make new like-minded friends whose mission is to create FUN.
Please consider helping out this year - in ANY capacity.
Underclassmen parents can be part of the planning ready for new parents to take over the reins by the time your kids are in Senior Year. Senior parents can of course help out too, but not the night of however.
Let's create fun together…
Reach out today to find out how you can help.
