HANDBOOK HIGHLIGHT #4
ELIGIBILITY
All students who participate in extracurricular activities (athletics, drama, all clubs, student government, and student organizations) are subject to the following eligibility standards:
Students must pass six of the seven courses in which they are enrolled.
Eligibility is based on the marks from the previous term, with the exception of the fall when eligibility is based on the final course grades from the previous year.
Ineligibility takes effect the day report cards are issued, unless a waiver has been granted by the principal.
If ineligibility status is due to incomplete grades, students may become eligible as soon as pending incompletes are resolved.
Students who are ineligible may continue to attend practices and rehearsals, but may not compete in games or participate in performances or other competitions. See related criteria for student travel, here.
For more information regarding eligibility, fundraising and more, please visit the Extracurricular Activities section of the MHS Student Handbook.

All pre-orders will be available for pick up at Fall Fest on October 20th. JOHN PANCIOCCO SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
Saturday, October 7, 2023
Schilling baseball and softball fields
Parents, you can be a “Weekend Warrior” just like your student! Looking for parent teams to join this year’s John Panciocco Softball Tournament. It’s an exciting day filled with friendly competition. Dust off your softball glove or borrow one and join the fun. No batting averages needed! So pull a team together of the parents you stand on the sidelines with or play pickleball with or folks from your neighborhood. All are welcome!
Plenty of ways to show your support: Register a team, become a tournament, or base sponsor, or donate. Registration is now open.
Proceeds from this tournament support a MHS Alumni Association scholarship in memory of John Panciocco who lost his battle with a rare form of cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma, in 2019. Mr. P was a MHS teacher, Assistant Athletic Director, and Boys & Girls Varsity Ice Hockey coach. This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating MHS senior who plans to pursue a career in education.

FROM MEDFIELD TV
FROM THE MMA
Welcome back to school from the Medfield Music Association! For over 50 years, the MMA has supported K-12 music education in the Medfield Public Schools. We are a parent volunteer organization that relies on support from our music families and donors in the community.
Interested in donating? Your donation can help support meaningful initiatives to excite and motivate our students to grow through music. Becoming a patron by October 31st allows us to grant music department initiatives in the current year. All donations are tax deductible.
Interested in getting involved? The MMA relies on many helping hands, especially for our various events and activities which provide about half of our funding each year. We appreciate any amount of time you can give – big or small!
To learn more about what is going on in the music department, or learning more about the MMA, please visit our website at: medfield music association
Or send us an email at: mail@medfieldmusicassociation.com
