FROM SEPAC

At SEPAC, we like to advocate, educate and celebrate. We also like to connect and have two new ways to connect.

Meet the newly elected SEPAC Co-Presidents, Katherine Munz and Melissa Lowry. They currently have two dates planned:
Tuesday, June 6th at 11am, at Blue Moon
Wednesday, June 7th at 7 pm at Blake Middle School Library

They are looking forward to meeting you. So stop by and say hi.

Many in our community say they'd like to connect with families with loved ones with similar diagnoses. We are EXCITED to offer our first parent & caregiver connection group! A SEPAC board member who has a child with Down Syndrome will facilitate this connection group. If you or someone you know cares for someone with Down Syndrome and wants to connect, please email sepac@email.medfield.net to be added to the group.

We hope you'll RSVP for our End-of-year celebration, on June 13th, 5 pm, at Hinkley Park. This is an excellent opportunity for families to meet and make connections. The SEPAC board will provide popsicles. Families are encouraged to make a night of it and bring whatever snacks/ dinner items they'd like. Please RSVP by using this LINK

FROM THE ANGP

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s All Night Grad Party such a huge success.

From the Seniors we spoke to, everyone had a really fun time throughout the 8 hours of celebrating!!

We’d like to thank everyone who was involved from-

  • Decorations

  • Food arrangements

  • Entertainment arrangements

  • Volunteering for set-up, clean up and through the night…especially those who volunteered during the hard hours between 12am - 5am!!!

  • Generous Donations

  • Custodians/Food Services/School Administrators

  • Medical & security support

It literally takes a village, as the saying goes, but it’s totally worth it, as the Seniors finish their Medfield School career with fantastic ever-lasting memories.

Please pass on our congratulations to all the Seniors - we wish them all the happiness and success in their future adventures.

Patty Borteck and Janie Boylan
ANGP Co-Chairs

FROM THE SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Here is a handy guide to SUMMER STEM OPPORTUNITIES for students.

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM

Are you interested in broadening your global perspective? Are you intrigued by the prospect of taking a deep dive into another culture? The Global Citizenship Program may be right for you! Students who successfully complete this program will receive a Certificate of Global Competence during their senior year at MHS. Students independently work through the components of the program which include travel, world language study, community service, a focus project, a presentation, and an essay. Interested students should email the GCP Advisor, Sra. Hamilton, at phamilton@email.medfield.net and visit the GCP SITE.  This program is time-intensive and thus may be best suited for students entering their sophomore or junior year.
