Curran wrote beautifully about his love for both his grandfather, Zayde, and the Patriots and the genuine and precious bond their shared sports enthusiasm built. Curran’s piece was selected for recognition out of 900 submissions. The contest was hosted by The Sports Museum in Boston. Congratulations!

WARRIOR WARDROBE

The Warrior Wardrobe is the School Based Enterprise (SBE) of Medfield High School DECA. DECA is a competitive business club that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Students participate in district, state, and international competitions through exams, written events, and role-plays! Our school store is an extension of DECA that helps to grow the club, and support our members as they travel around the state and country for their achievements! The store is open now through June 4th.

FROM THE SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

Here is a handy guide to SUMMER STEM OPPORTUNITIES for students.

GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM

Are you interested in broadening your global perspective? Are you intrigued by the prospect of taking a deep dive into another culture? The Global Citizenship Program may be right for you! Students who successfully complete this program will receive a Certificate of Global Competence during their senior year at MHS. Students independently work through the components of the program which include travel, world language study, community service, a focus project, a presentation, and an essay. Interested students should email the GCP Advisor, Sra. Hamilton, at phamilton@email.medfield.net and visit the GCP SITE.  This program is time-intensive and thus may be best suited for students entering their sophomore or junior year.

FROM THE ANGP

Please bring your kids, grandparents, neighbors…ALL are welcome to take a sneak peak before the Seniors celebrate all night long. Come in via the entrance where it says ‘Gym Entrance’ (Field side of the High School.) Your kids will LOVE it… you will too!  See you there!

**************

To everyone other than Senior Parents:

We need volunteers from 1:45am - 5am June 4th for the All Night Grad Party.

Please help us create the fun for the Class of 2023 - if we don’t get the volunteers we’ll have to close sections down.

Pay it forward and sign up HERE. (Scroll down to the 1.45am time slot)

You’ll have all day Sunday to sleep it off! Thank you!

**************

To Senior Parents:

Thank you to all who have volunteered and donated towards The All Night Grad Party. It really can’t be done without your support.

There is still time to make a contribution (45% of the class have yet to contribute), please visit www.medfieldangp.com and make your donation.

We rely on donations to avoid making it a ticketed event to ensure EVERYONE is able to attend.

VIDEOS PLEASE!!!

We are still in need of video footage of pre-school/elementary days - please upload your videos here or drop off old style tapes/discs to Medfield TV (18 N Meadows Road, Medfield) labeled with your contact details and they will return them.

Set Up & Dismantle

If you own a truck, we need your help either during set up at 2:15pm Friday, June 2nd or 5am Sunday, June 4th. Please SIGN UP HERE if you’re able to help with either or both of those times. (Even if you don’t have a truck we need help setting up and tearing down!)

You are unable to volunteer during the party, however we are really low on volunteers during the 2am - 5am slot. Please spread the word among your neighbors & friends. Copy and paste this link SIGN UP HERE & ask them to scroll down to the 1:45am shift (Page 3). We do not want to have to shut down any of the fun for your kids due to not having the help. Thank you and enjoy these last few days!!

FROM THE WRITING CENTER

Current Juniors/Rising Seniors, Class of 2024:

Knock one of your important college application to do tasks off your list:

Come to the Writing Center to start, check in on, or even finalize your College Application essays!

Completing this crucial essay early not only takes one more item off your college app to do list and takes another college app conversation with your parents/guardians off the table too! Sometimes colleges also publish their supplement questions at this point. You're welcome to come to the Writing Center and work on those too.

Remember, it's easy to sign up for Flex Writing Center appointments via your My Learning app. Having problems getting an appointment? Just email me:  bwren-burgess@email.medfield.net to see what we can organize for you.

You've got this! ~WB

PS: And of course, all students are welcome to continue to make appointments in the Writing Center for help on all your writing:

  • essays

  • LARPS

  • scholarship applications

  • job & internship applications

  • resumes

  • cover letters

Order the 2023 yearbook! Please act fast to ensure you get a copy before they sell out (as they did last year)! Just click on this LINK. Thanks for your interest and support!
