February 28, 2022 --

Dear Medfield Families,

I hope you had a great vacation week!

This is a quick update before we come back to school tomorrow:

  • The CDC has lifted the mask requirement for students on school buses. The CDC released this information on Friday afternoon and DESE sent all superintendents an email this morning confirming this change. Therefore, beginning tomorrow, February 28th, masks will become optional on all of our buses. We will continue to keep some windows on each bus open to facilitate fresh air circulation.
  • Masks will become optional in all classrooms PreK-8 tomorrow, as well as all MIAA sporting events. These changes were originally communicated on February 11, 2022. The nurse's office is the only area that will still require a mask for students, staff, and parents. Our pooled testing and at-home testing programs will continue this week and our "COVID Dashboard" is up to date.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our kids and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Sincerely,

Jeff Marsden
