School Starting/Ending Times Committee
The Medfield Public Schools will be convening a group of students, parents, and staff members to examine the potential benefits and challenges of adjusting school times for the 2025-2026 school year. This is one of the key areas identified in our new strategic plan. Beginning this month, the group will meet in person after school hours for at least one meeting per month. In addition, there will also be work outside of the committee which could include, readings, research, presentations, and attendance at public meetings. The goal of this committee is to make a recommendation to the Medfield School Committee by June 2024 to either change or not change school times for the fall of 2025. If you would like to be considered for the committee, please email the Medfield School Committee (scchair@email.medfield.net) with an email expressing your interest and the skills you bring to the school starting/ending times conversation.
Superintendent's Parent/Guardian Advisory Reminder-Tomorrow at 9:30 AM
This is a reminder that the Superintendent's Parent/Guardian Advisory will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th at 9:30 AM in the Blake Middle School Library. The agenda will include the 2023 MCAS scores, an update on the Dale St. Project, and a discussion of several other topics. All parents and guardians of MPS students are invited to attend.
The Strategic Plan Dashboard is Live!
Our Strategic Plan Dashboard provides families and citizens with a visual "scorecard" of progress with our newly adopted plan. The dashboard will be updated several times a year as we remain focused on our core value of continuous growth. Please click here to view the dashboard.
Annual Blake Blood Drive-January 15th
The Blake Middle School blood drive is in desperate need of donors. Along with the Red Cross, students work the day of the blood drive. Please consider giving blood Monday, January 15th from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. If you go to sign up and find that the time you need is unavailable please reach out to Cynthia McClelland at cmcclelland@email.medfield.net.
