Dear Medfield Families,
Thank you to the many parents and community members that attended Monday night's strategic plan focus group. The consultants were very pleased with the level of participation and conversation. A lot of useful data was collected!
To date we have held the following focus groups:

- Teachers and staff of Wheelock
- Teachers and staff of Dale St

- Parents/ Guardians/Community Members
- Select Board/Warrant Committee/Town Moderator (4/11/23)
The next step in data collection is the stakeholder survey. The survey will open tomorrow, April 6, 2023, and will close on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 5:00 PM. I will send an email tomorrow with the survey link attached. In addition to parents/guardians, the survey will be shared with MHS students, all faculty and staff, and community members. This broad distribution will give us feedback from as many stakeholders as possible.
After the survey concludes, the process will move into Phase II with a focus on data analysis, review of mission, vision, and core values, goal development, and theory of action. This work will be done by our consultants and members of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee (SPSC). The SPSC will meet for six, three-hour sessions beginning at the end of April. The SPSC will consist of MHS Students (2), Parents/Guardians ( 3-5 members of School Site Council, PTO, and/or SEPAC), teachers (3-5 including union representation), Medfield School Committee members (2), and all district-level administrators/principals. The completion of Phase II will take us to the end of June/beginning of July when a draft of our plan will be presented to the Medfield School Committee for any recommendations and/or approval. We plan to implement the new strategic plan in August/September of 2023.
