Outdoor Pursuits Task Definition



Goal: To use technology and media research activities that weiill not be covered in the curriculum. Research will be used to prepare a 20 minute class presentation. Presentations must include a handout.

Objectives:
1. To expose students to alternative activites that are not traditional "sports".
2. To integrate technology into what is being done in Outdoor Pursuits.
3. To expose students to sports-related information available in the LMC.

Procedure: Students may use books, magazines, the internet, or non print media.

Presentations must include:
1. Introduction (history, etc.)
2. Safety
3. Equipment (pictures may be included)
4. Rules or regulations
5. Closing
