You must find a work by the artists and be prepared to explain why it was banned or could have been banned by Hitler
Art Gallery: You must have a printed copy of the work to be presented for the class --- NO TITLE OR INFORMATION --- ONLY THE PAINTING
- During the gallery each student must walk around and write their own reaction to the painting and why you think that Hitler banned it. According to Hitler, what was "wrong" or "inappropriate" with the piece?
- You must also include what you think is the title of the work.
- These journal responses and titles will be given to the groups and incorporated in their station.
Class time will be given to organize and develop your station with your group.
The station must include:
- the biography of the artist
- background on the art
- the correct title of the art and why it was banned or why you think it was banned
- the style of the artist
- the class' reaction to the painting at the "gallery"
- other examples by the artist
EVERY GROUP MEMBER MUST TEACH THE STATION AT LEAST ONE ROTATION.
You will recieve a grade based on:
- Each member TEACHING the station.
- The INFORMATION and CONTENT of the station. Were all of the requirements met and how much detail was given to each requirements?
- How you teach and ORGANIZE your station
WE WILL DEVELOP THE FINAL ASSESSMENT BASED ON THE CLASS STATIONS.
