Special Interest Groups
Task Definition:
1. Read about "Interest Groups".
2. Select a special interest group or poliitical action committee that has a lobbyist or operates in eastern Massachusetts. Work in a group of two or three. Check the interest group with your teacher before you begin.

4. What impact or influence have they had on government and/or the political process.
5. FOR EXTRA CREDIT: Invite a representative to speak to the class about their work, purpose, goals, during the month of April. Check the schedule in the class to make sure that no one else is coming that same day. Follow up with a confirmation letter and a thank you note if they come to class.
