2018 MHS NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS
Medfield High School Principal Robert Parga is proud to announce the following seniors have received this distinction: Jack Barrett, Mark Bissell, Samira Hajj, Megan Hawley, John Kohler, John Lane, Margaret McCarthy, Lucy Nealon, Sophie Riddick, Angela Salisbury, Jack Tomlin, and Margaret Travis.

Mark Bissell and Margaret Travis have also been named 2018 National Merit Semifinalists. Mark and Margaret will have an opportunity to continue on in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth about $32 million. We would like to congratulate all of our National Merit Commended Students and Semifinalists, as well as their parents and their teachers; this is a great honor and we are very proud of their accomplishments!

Ticks are most active in our area during the fall and spring though they are present year round. Check out important information about tick season from the Medfield Lyme Disease Study Committee (and shared by our school nurses) posted below.
Registration for the October 14th PSATs will open on Wednesday, September 6th in the Medfield High School guidance department. We encourage all members of the Class of 2019 to take the PSAT in preparation for future college entrance exams. Students can register through the guidance office by clicking here: PSAT REGISTRATION Students can drop off payment and pick up a prep booklet in the Medfield High School guidance office beginning on Wednesday, September 6th. The cost for the PSAT is $27. Checks can be made out to: MEDFIELD HIGH SCHOOL. The deadline to register is Friday, October 6th. If financial assistance is required please contact the guidance office at 508-359-2482 to request a fee waiver.
ANGEL RUN NEWS: "Oh say can you sing?" The MFi Angel Run is holding a contest to sing the National Anthem at the start of this year's race set for Sunday, December 3rd. Audition videos must be submitted by November 1st for consideration. See full details on the MFi website medfieldfoundation.org and while you are there sign up for the race.
