The MHS Site Council meeting originally scheduled for Monday, April 23rd has been CANCELLED.  The next meeting date is Monday, May 21, 2018.

Advanced Placement Exams PRE-REGISTRATION - The AP Exam window is approaching!  In the next month we will be having pre-registration sessions for all AP students.  These sessions help save time on test day. Students need to bring a #2 pencil. If any student is not available during their reading periods, please see Mr. Ormberg in the guidance office.



Best of luck and a safe journey to all of our talented MHS band, orchestra and chorus members as they head off to New York City and Philadelphia to compete in a music festival and see the sights later this week.  Good luck as well to the MHS Jazz Choir which will be attending the MAJE Vocal Jazz Festival on Wednesday!  GO WARRIORS!

Prom Bus Tickets on sale at lunches on April 30, May 1st and May 2nd:  As Promposals are happening all around town, we know that transportation plans for the big day will be a concern.  Well, stop your worrying and your search for an expensive limo because the MHS PTO has it figured out once again. Plan to jump on board with all your friends and classmates and take SAFE, FUN, INCLUSIVE and AFFORDABLE transportation to the prom this May.  Coach busses will depart for Gillette from the high school at 6:45 pm on the 11th, so be sure to arrive early to take pictures with all of your classmates. Round trip tickets are just $20 each and can be purchased at all lunches on Monday, April 30th – Wednesday, May 2nd.  Cash or checks made payable to MHS PTO will be accepted.  SPACE IS LIMITED and tickets will be sold on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis.  Don’t miss out on this school tradition and all the fun! WORK PERMIT APPLICATIONS - As students look for summer jobs...just a reminder that the Work Permit application for 14-17 year olds is now available on our home page at medfield.net.  Just click on the “Forms and Documents” folder in the lower right of the page and choose the “Medfield High School” tab.  There is a link to the application form which can be downloaded, printed and filled out before you come to the guidance office for the permit.  It will save time and an additional trip to the MHS for the this form.

ALL NIGHT GRADUATION PARTY UPDATE - Look for the blue ANGP flyer in your mailbox this week.  Parents of underclassmen, please help us make the night a success with a donation. Soon it will be your student’s turn to celebrate in a safe and substance free environment.  You can send a donation to MHS All Night Graduation Party, P.O. MEDFIELD MUSIC ASSOCIATION NOTESDon’t miss this year’s Jazz Night with extra-special guest artist and vocalist/saxophonist Grace Kelly! The annual Medfield event, presented once again by Needham Bank, will be held May 4th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Tickets are an all-admission price of $10 in advance (through May 3rd), and $15 at the door.They are on sale at Park Street Books, Needham Bank and online at https://bit.ly/2GJTzeI (also posted on medfieldmusicassociation.com).  At age 25, Grace Kelly is a high-energy performer who will bring unparalleled energy to the Medfield High School Lowell Mason Auditorium as she performs with Medfield HS and Blake Jazz Ensembles. Plans are also developing for an inspirational Q&A during open rehearsals where students and audience members can learn more about her career launched at age 7, and has since taken Kelly around the world and on the stage with a long list of prominent artists. Jazz Night proceeds support the entire Medfield Music Program across K-12. The event is supported in part by a grant from the Medfield Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, as well as local business sponsors Park Street Books, Brothers Marketplace and Clay Family Dealerships.

On Friday, May 4th, at Dover-Sherborn High School, Challenge Success co-founder, Dr. Denise Pope, will be speaking alongside renowned psychologist and author, Dr. Brad Sachs on the topic of “Good Enough Parent, Good Enough Child.” Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by clicking HERE.

The MCPE is currently accepting nominations for the Robert C. Maguire "Global Perspectives in Education" Award. This award is given annually to a staff member who inspires students to look beyond the town of Medfield and expand their horizons. Learning about the global community could include efforts in world history, politics, science, technology, literature, mathematics, economics, sociology, anthropology and more.
