TERM 3 PROGRESS REPORTS
Beginning Wednesday, February 28, teachers will open their grade books in the Aspen portal to mark the midway point of the term. This will take the place of a traditional midterm progress report. The grades will be visible from Wednesday, February 28 through the end of the day on Friday, March 2. Please note that the grade may continue to be updated through Friday as this is a live grade book for teachers. Additional information will be sent home by email on Wednesday.
The Medfield High School PROGRAM OF STUDIES NIGHT is scheduled for this THURSDAY, MARCH 1st. The program for incoming grade 9 parents will begin at 6:30 pm and the subsequent program for rising grade 10 - 12 parents will begin at 7:30 pm. CAFE READ-A-LATTE IS COMING!
The MHS Library Media Center (LMC) is very pleased to be hosting our 15th annual "Cafe Read-a-Latte" to celebrate Read Across America during the week of March 5-9. This is a fun event that the entire school community looks forward to every year! All students will come to the LMC with their English classes to browse new books and enjoy a snack and beverage. Profits from Cafe Read-a-Latte will be used to fund a new Makerspace as well as an author visit this year. MEDFIELD MUSIC ASSOCIATION NOTES
Interested in learning about the music possibilities at Medfield State Hospital? Join the MMA at the Zullo Gallery at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27th, for a special meeting featuring Senior/Junior District student recognition and a presentation by Jean Mineo, leader of the Cultural Alliance of Medfield, on the music and arts vision for the Medfield State Hospital property, with the Lee Chapel as the center point. The usual MMA agenda items will also be covered, including planning for an especially exciting Jazz Night this year! This February 27th gathering replaces the meeting originally scheduled for March 6th.

ARMED SERVICES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY (ASVAB) - On Thursday, March 29th, Medfield will be offering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery). Students can register here: ASVAB
The test, open to all CURRENT JUNIORS & SENIORS is approximately 3 hours in length. Students are reminded that they are responsible to approach teachers in order to make up all missing assignments. Students will check-in to the MHS Guidance office the morning of the exam.
The ASVAB is an interest inventory that allows students to explore potential career options. The ASVAB is designed to help students learn more about themselves and the world of work, to identify and explore potentially satisfying occupations, and develop an effective strategy to realize potential career goals. There is no fee to take the test. If you have any questions about registration please contact the guidance office.
Registration is Open for New Life's 5K Fundraising Run/Walk - New Life Furniture Bank is excited to announce its 1st Annual New Life 5K Trail Run. This fundraising event will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 5th at the scenic Medfield State Hospital grounds in Medfield, MA. The New Life 5K Trail Run is open to the public, and all ages are encouraged to run, jog or walk in what promises to be an annual family event not to be missed! Registration is open now! The Massachusetts Miss Amazing event is fast-approaching and will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Medfield High School!
