ATTENTION: PARENTS OF GRADE 10 STUDENTS:  The MATH MCAS EXAMS will be administered  on Tuesday, MAY 21 and Wednesday, May 22. The test will begin promptly each day at 7:40 am. Students should arrive at school on time. They should wear comfortable clothing and dress in layers as the temperature in the classrooms can vary.  Students are encouraged to bring snacks. Please note: NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES may be used by students during the testing

All Night Grad Party Needs Parent Volunteers!

Help is needed on several fronts to make June 2 the BEST and SAFEST NIGHT of the year for our graduates! Parents from all classes welcome:

  • WEDNESDAY DECORATING WORKSHOPS -  Extra help needed this Wednesday. Come for an hour or stay the whole time.  We have jobs of all types and skill level. (Located in MHS cafeteria, 6:30-9:30pm)
  • ANGP PARTY CHAPERONING -  Chaperoning is the best way to experience ANGP.  No senior parents, please. Sign-up at: ANGP 2019 Chaperone Sign-Up.

 

CASH FOR YOUR TRASH!  There is a box top collection box in the main office of the high school.  Although high schools are not able to receive the money from box top collections, the other 4 schools will be able to benefit.  Please send in any box tops you have lying around and perhaps keep a ziplock bag in the kitchen to collect new ones. Weekly News Update - May 13, 2019

The annual MHS Art Show is HERE!

Come and check out the incredible talent of our art students in an exhibit of some of their past work this year in the MHS main foyer Monday-Friday, May 13-17.  A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 15 from 5:30-7:00 pm. All are invited to attend!


POPS NIGHT is this SATURDAY, May 18th!

All are welcome to hear Medfield High School music ensembles perform at the annual Pops Night, 7:00 pm, Saturday, May 18th, in the gymnasium. Students will debut the Lowell Mason-inspired commissioned work by award-winning composer and Medfield resident, Justin Casinghino.

The Pops theme for this year is Around the World and the event will feature the high school Concert Choir, String Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Jazz Choir, and String Chamber Group. The groups will perform pieces ranging from “Slumdog Millionaire” to “Ireland: Of Legend and Lore.”

Pops tickets are $5.00 for a bleacher seat, $10.00 per table seat, and $90.00 for an entire table of 10 seats.  To purchase tickets or for more information, go to Park Street Books or contact Joe Pagliazzo at (This email address is being protected from spambots. CAPS & GOWNS - Seniors can pick up their caps and gowns in the main office this Thursday and Friday, May 16th and 17th DURING THEIR READING PERIODS ONLY.



Join other Medfield parents in reading Doing School: How We Are Creating a Generation of Stressed-Out, Materialistic, and Miseducated Students by Denise Pope, then come and hear a panel of Medfield High School students talk candidly about how they may be facing some of the same issues presented in the book. Don’t have time to read the book? Still join us for this dynamic presentation. This book and presentation are geared toward the high school population. Students are welcome. MEDFIELD MUSIC ASSOCIATION NOTES The MHS Music Banquet will take place Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 pm in the HS cafeteria. Tickets are $12/person and will be sold at this Saturday's (5/18) POPS concert and online. Music families will be receiving an email with further details this week.

WANT TO PLAY A FALL SPORT AT MHS...then mark your calendars for the FALL ATHLETICS INFO MEETING on Monday, June 10th at 6:00 pm. More information will be emailed home this week!

Weekly News Update - May 6, 2019

Congratulations to the cast, crew, writers and directors of the MHS Theatre Society who presented the annual MEDFIELD AFTER DARK show this past Saturday night!  A round of applause to all, not only for this wonderful performance, but for all the great entertainment the members of the Theatre Society produced this year.  What a fabulous way to support the David E. Medeiros Memorial fund and close out the 2018-2019 season! Well done, Warriors!

FRIDAY, MAY 10th is a TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DAY.  MHS students will have an EARLY DISMISSAL time of 11:10 am.
