Each school building has a School Council that serves as an advisory board to the principal. The Council consists of parents, school personnel, and a community member for the purposes of assisting the principal with...

  • Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide performance standards
  • Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
  • Reviewing the annual school building budget
  • Formulating a school improvement plan

Members of the Council are elected to the board by members of the school community in September. Meetings are held on a regular basis and are conducted under the Open Meeting Law, accordingly any member of the school's community may attend meetings. The dates of the meetings are posted below.

Site Council Meetings

School Site Council meetings are held on a Monday each month at 3:15pm in the Blake Library Media Center.  All are invited!  The scheduled meeting dates are as follows:
