Good morning -
It was wonderful to see many of you at last night's parent information night for incoming 7th and 8th grade parents/guardians. I am writing with a few 'follow up' items and regarding planning for 2019-2020. For your reference, I have copied the link to the presentation along with the Program of Studies from last night...
All sixth-eighth graders have the opportunity to choose to participate in Band, Orchestra, or Chorus as a part of their course schedule for three periods per week. Please note that this is an increase in 'contact time' from 2 periods per week this year. This additional period will take the place of the primary 'related rotation' - see details below...
- For 6th grade the related rotation consists of 4 classes (Coding, Consumer Science, Guidance, and Library/Media Skills) that meet one period/week for about 8 weeks each.
- For 7th grade the related rotation consists of 4 classes (Consumer Science, Guidance, General Music, and Investigating Technology) that meet one period/week for about 8 weeks each.
- For 8th grade the related rotation consists of 4 classes (Embracing Diversity and Combating Prejudice, Consumer Science, General Music, and Guidance) that meet for about 8 weeks each.
